Quran Chapter 41 - Surat Fussilat Verse 1 to 32

Description:

Qari Mashary Rashid Al-Afasi - Surat Fussilat 41

surat h.a-Mim, or fus.silat (41) This is the second of the series of seven suras bearing the abbreviated letters h.a-Mim. To prevent confusion with other suras of the h.a-Mim series, the word sajda is sometimes added to the title, making it h.a-Mim as-Sajda, the double title being necessary as there is another sura called sajda (s. Xxxii). To avoid the double title, it is sometimes called fus.silat, from the occurrence of the word in verse 3. The meaning of h.a-Mim has been explained in the introducrion to s. Xl, where will also be found a note on the chronology and general theme of the seven h.a-Mim suras. For this particular sura the theme is that the basis of faith and revelation is Allah`s power and goodness, and the fruit of both is man`s righteousness and healing. Summary.-What is revelation and faith, and what is man`s attitude to both, and what are its consequences (xli. 1 - 32). The fruits of faith and unfaith, truth and falsehood (xli. 33 - 54).. In the name of Allah, most gracious, most Merciful.
