The Fire and Spectacle of Hell
Description:
The Islamic notions of Heaven and Hell are not mythical, ambiguous or imaginary. Belief of the Hereafter is an article of Islamic faith, the stages and instances of which the last Book and Messenger of God relayed explicit details. As an admonition, Hell is documented and foretold in all its ghastly and petrifying element.
“O you who believe, save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men and stones, over which are appointed angels, stern and severe, who do not disobey Allah in what He orders them and who do precisely what they are commanded.” [Al Quran 66: 6]
“Is the man who follows the good pleasure of Allah like the one who draws upon himself the wrath of Allah and whose abode is in Hell – an evil refuge? They are varying grades in the sight of Allah, and Allah sees well all that they do.” [Al Quran 3:162-163]
“They will say, ‘Our Lord, our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we were a people astray. Our Lord, remove us from this; if ever we return [to evil], then we will indeed be wrongdoers.’ He will say, ‘Remain humiliated therein, and do not speak to Me!’” [Al Quran 23:106-108]
