After a long discussion in the meeting held on Saturday 24th May 2008 at Kingsbridge Barking, the overwhelming majority of members have agreed not to go ahead with the purchase of the building in consideration with the professional advisor who strongly believed that the purchase was a risk if we were to put any initial amount in to the deal. This decision was based on the following grounds:<br /><br />
<br /><br />
a) as according to the vender, there is already another buyer under process who is willing to buy the property for development but both the vender and the buyer have not yet come to an agreement with other issues. However, for us to secure the purchase the asked a deposit of £10,000 payable on that Saturday and that £10,000 will be added to the 10% of £350,000 which was to be paid within two week thereafter (i.e. £25,000 and normally is paid on the day of exchange). And then we would have 10 weeks to complete the rest of amount (i.e. 315,000). If we did not pay the rest of money after 10 weeks we would lose £35,000 of people's money.<br /><br />

b) Our current financial status shows that the chances of purchasing this property are very narrow due to fewer people only donated to the project, a situation that we failed to predict any big contribution during this 10 weeks if we were to go ahead with the purchase.<br /><br />

WHAT NEXT?<br /><br />

WE ASK EVERYONE WHO LENT US THEIR MONEY TO GIVE US 10 MORE WEEKS BEFORE WE RETURN THEIR MONEY BACK WHILE WE TAKE MORE EFFORT TO RAISE MORE FUNDS DURING THIS PERIOD WITH THE HOPE THAT THIS PROPERTY WILL STILL BE ON MARKET IN MONTHS TO COME INSHAALLAH. AFTER TEN WEEKS, IF THE BUILDING IS SOLD TO OTHER BUYERS WE PROMISE TO RETURN THE MONEY YOU LENT US BUT WE WILL STILL BE CONTINUING TO COLLECT DONATION FIY SABIYLILLH AND SEARCHING FOR SIMILAR POTENTIAL PROPERTY AND WE WILL COME AGAIN TO YOU FOR THE SAME REASON INSHAALLAH. WE THANK YOU ALL AND ALLAH WILL REWARD YOU FOR EVERY PENNY YOU CONTRIBUTED WHETHER FIY SABIYLILLAH OR QARDH HASAN.<br /><br />

We need to speed up our donation and increase the amount we donate as much as we can to be able to buy any property without any hassle. We appeal to all Muslims to contribute more money to the project.<br /><br />
