i havent heard this before but jazakallahu khairan for tellin me i didnt no..i think dat da recitation is used to show evidence probably ..but there is an exception i think..if we want to memorize da Qur'aan we can listen and read at the same time to get it in our heads...its not a sign of disrespect..nd yes i did understand u alhamdulillah..r

Salam 'aleykoum
I think we have to make a choice between listening to the qur'an or reading the text (which is a good "reminder"). I can't and we wouldn't listen to qur'an and read at the same time "anything else". The qur'an has to be listened without doing something else at the same time. We can't use the audio qur'an as a "background noise" or for illustrate a video (except if this video is the qur'an text). So I had to cut the sound for reading, starghfirullah.
The same video with another audio (like the sound of the wind or anything else, nor anashid because there's "translations" of qur'an) would be good, in my opinion.
(I hope you understood me despite my poor english.)
Barakallahoufik, Wa salam 'aleykoum.
PS : the great recitator is Sa'ad Al-Ghamidi and the surat An-Nisa, for those who want to know.
