Hadith No.8



Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, `I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people (polytheists) until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they offer the prayers perfectly and give the Zakah. So if they perform that, then their lives and property are protected from me, except in accordance with Islamic law and their reckoning will be by Allah, the Exalted.` (Recorded by Al-Bukharee and Muslim)
