Very quickly this scholar at 8:30 has stated that anyone who tries to make takfeer on the rulers is doing so because they want something worse for the ummah, based on the events between Ali ra and the khawarij. And the evidence of "hukm illah lillah" is brushed over as if nothing. Ali was ruling by Islam, a caliph, of the sunnah of the beloved prophet saw. Who today is doing that? r

How do you equate Ali ra to any of the thalims ruling the Muslim world today. So when we seek to depose these rulers and in place put a caliph and the system based on the evidence from the quran and sunnah, You cannot use the hadith that "what you want is worse" because this is not the reality.
