Mukhlasan walha tamanna

Seeking to die in honour


في سبيل الله يسوق العمر ويعزز كفاحه

Fee sabeel-Allah yasuq al-amrawi azziz kafaha

In the path of Allah zealously fights his entire life, and with dignity in the battle.


مثل زيد ومثل مصعب مثل حمزة والمثنى

Mislay zaidu mislay mus’ab mislay Hamza wal musanna

Like Zayd, Musa'b, just like Hamza, and Al-Muthanna


مثل جعفر والبراء والغافقي وابن الرواحه

Mislay Jaffar walbara waghafequi wibnar ruwahaah

And like Ja'far, and Al-Bara', And Al-Ghafari and Ibn Rawahah

Inthi yara’ ashahamahi yawme tabla alharba danim maslam yasrikh weeankhar kayfa ma nasma' seyahaa

You the protector of self-honour, the day that the drums of war grew nearer how can we not hear his cry

Leyhe ma nathrab a'adouwunn beynanna minna wa minna mirray waynil mislim illee shally oroho fauq eraha

Why do we not strike an enemy which is among us and from us. Where is the muslim who has lifted his soul above relaxation

يا زمان فات يوم نشيل في الغزوة كفنى يوم يرمي عمير زاده للجهاد آخذ سلاحه

Ya zimane faathey youmin sheel feel ghazwathe fanna yaoum yarme ameer zadeah al jahid akhith silahaa

What a time that has passed the day that we were raised and shrouded in the battle the day that 'Umayr threw away his sustenance for Jihad and took up his weapons

This time has passed... The day that wealth increased, how were we put to trial? The day that Tariq (bin Ziyad) burned the boats and did not think to swim.

يوم قايد معركة حطين سار وما تونا يوم نـطلب للشهادة والعدو ننطح رماحه

Yaumay qayid ma'arkat hatteen sarooma thuwanna yaumay nathlab leshahada wal'adoo NathaH rimahaaa

The day that the commander of the Battle of Hittin went forth and did not tire nor slack The day we seek martyrdom and the enemy is macking with his spear.

يوم كنا قلب واحد راي واحد يوم كنا يوم كلب الروم يخذل بالصوى بدل نباحه

Yaum kinna qalboo wahadd rai wahadd yaumay kinna yaum kalburRoom yakhzool balsooaa Baddal nibaha

The day that we were on heart, one banner, the day that we were. The day that the dog of the Romans abandoned rationality and instead chose to bark
